Grief and sadness were written on the faces of Arsenal fans after their disappointing 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in a fierce Premier League title race.

The Citizens started strongly, with Ryan Cherki scoring a brilliant opener. Just two minutes later, Kai Havertz capitalized on a Gianluigi Donnarumma error to level the score at 1-1.

Arsenal struggled to match their opponents and were unlucky with several chances, hitting the post and missing narrowly through efforts from Eberechi Eze and Havertz.

Man City beat Arsenal to cut lead to three points

Prolific striker Erling Haaland rose to the occasion, scoring the winner to move Manchester City to 67 points with a game in hand, while Arsenal remained on 70 points.

After the game, most supporters looked saddened and stunned as the club appeared to be heading towards losing the league title once again.

Some female fans had their hands on their jaws, staring at the pitch in disbelief, questioning their team’s potential to win the league.

Male fans stood motionless, some with mouths open, while others leaned on seats and railings, looking as though all hope was lost.

The despair on the faces of the fans told the story of the emotional damage they would suffer if Mikel Arteta and his men fail to clinch the Premier League title.

With five matches remaining in the season, if Arsenal and Manchester City finish level on points, goal difference will determine the Premier League champion.
