  It is okay that a French is apologizing for the roles played by his forefathers in that abysmal trade in Slaves across the Atlantic to the Americas but Africans should also apologize for participating in that evil and wicked trade. Yes, Africans were equally guilty in that obnoxious trade because they went to war against their own, captured defeated people from towns and villages and sold them to Europeans Slave Merchants who almost never went into land to fight and capture Africans to send to the Americas as slaves.
  Africans were even more guilty because they started selling their own to Arabs and Indians. Do we remember that Mensa Musa, Askia the Great and Sumanguru Kante were all selling Africans to Arabs as Slaves? Let us hear when the Asantehene among other Traditional Leaders will also come out and openly apologize for the roles of their forefathers in the wicked and evil Trans Saharan, Trans Atlantic, and Trans Indian Ocean Slave Trade. The African Slave Traders were just greedy and evil and need to come out to apologize to the descendants of the various Trade in Humans that they participated and encouraged.

Those African participants were just as evil and horrible as the European Slave Merchants.
