Heath Goldfields Limited has strongly rejected what it describes as “inaccurate and misleading” public commentary regarding its operations at the Bogoso-Prestea Gold Mine, insisting that its activities remain lawful, active, and fully compliant with regulatory requirements.

In a press statement issued on April 22, 2026, the company said recent allegations circulating in the public domain misrepresent both the facts and the legal framework within which it operates.

“Heath Goldfields LTD has noted recent public commentary concerning its operations… The Company rejects the allegations in circulation.

They misrepresent material facts and the legal and operational framework within which the Company conducts its business,” the statement said.

The company expressed concern over what it termed the spread of “inaccurate, incomplete and misleading information,” warning that such claims risk confusing workers, host communities, and the general public.

Heath Goldfields reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, stating that it will continue to communicate through “proper and verifiable channels” while engaging regulators, employees, and other stakeholders.

According to the company, operations at the Bogoso-Prestea mine are ongoing under an approved Mine Development Plan and are being conducted under the supervision of Ghana’s mining regulator.

“Operations at Bogoso-Prestea are active, with work ongoing under the approved Mine Development Plan and the oversight of the Minerals Commission of Ghana,” the statement noted.

The company further indicated that all financing and operational decisions are being executed within the applicable legal and regulatory framework, adding that it remains focused on delivering on its development strategy.

Heath Goldfields also announced plans to provide updates on its operational progress, community initiatives, and long-term development agenda in subsequent communications.

Meanwhile, the company cautioned that it “reserves all of its rights” in relation to any statements it considers false or damaging to its reputation.
