Read Asiedu Nketiah's message to Julius Debrah on his birthday

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, sent a goodwill message to Chief of Staff Julius Debrah as he marked his 60th birthday on April 24, 2026.

Debrah celebrated the milestone at the Jubilee House in what was described as a surprise event after reportedly being invited to the office by President John Dramani Mahama.

Among the messages shared in honour of the Chief of Staff was one from Asiedu Nketiah, who described Debrah as a “good friend and comrade in the struggle.”

“Happy birthday, my good friend and comrade in the struggle. Wishing you good health, strength, and a fulfilling year ahead as you continue your work in service of Ghana. God bless you,” the NDC Chairman said in a Facebook post on April 24, 2026.

The message has attracted attention within political circles, as both Asiedu Nketiah and Debrah are considered influential figures within the governing NDC.

With President Mahama constitutionally expected to complete his current tenure, discussions have already begun over who may lead the NDC into the next electoral cycle.
