The regulation holds for all vehicles - commercial or not, including 2-wheel ones.

Your vehicle not having back does not exempt you from this regulation: the vehicle is simply not suitable for carrying children. Such vehicles are for single or a couple without children and moreover almost invariably used as a SECOND car, not main family car.

Note that in Europe, apart from children occupying back seat only, they must be on booster seats, if they are between 125 and 150 cm tall. This enables the vehicle behind to see that children are in the vehicle in front of them and drive with extra care.

I know in Ghana, people would fight to 'challenge' this, but in Europe, be ready to pay the bill, if you are caught violating this law.

You are free to choose between 'dwe3 ne ahantan' and the safety of your children.

What is most important is fully implementing those laws and punishing those who violate the laws with heavy fines.

As I'm writing, I just transferred an equivalent of GHC 600 to the city for over speeding 12km/h more than the permitted. If I don't pay within a week, the amount will go higher, so oya - speed. I ran to pay. And I have sworn never again to drive to overspeed.

That's how the system should work in Ghana and not the usual talk-talk
