Paris Saint-Germain have been dealt a major injury setback ahead of their decisive UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, as Achraf Hakimi has been ruled out with a hamstring tear.

The Moroccan full-back sustained the injury late in PSG’s dramatic 5-4 first-leg victory at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, April 28, 2027, following a challenge with Konrad Laimer.

Medical examinations carried out after the match confirmed the worst fears, ruling out minor damage and instead diagnosing a significant hamstring tear.

The 27-year-old is now expected to miss the crucial second leg in Munich at the Allianz Arena, dealing a heavy blow to Luis Enrique and his squad. Hakimi has been one of PSG’s standout performers this season, starting 28 of 31 matches.

His absence will be felt on both ends of the pitch, given his pace, defensive stability, and attacking influence down the right flank. With no substitutions remaining at the time of the incident, Hakimi showed resilience by playing through the final minutes despite the injury.

In his likely absence, Warren Zaïre-Emery is expected to step in at right-back for the trip to Germany.

While early indications suggest Hakimi could return in time for a potential final, PSG must now navigate one of their biggest matches of the season without one of their most important players.
