Business mogul Mike Twum Barima
Business mogul Mike Twum Barima, Chief Executive Officer of Midwest Company Limited, has donated GH¢200,000 to the Holy Spirit Cathedral as part of activities marking his 70th birthday.
The generous contribution formed part of a series of commemorative events organised by his family to celebrate the milestone.
Twum Barima, a native of Kwahu Obomeng in the Eastern Region who turned 70 on Thursday, April 30, hosted an elegant gathering at his plush residence in Airport Residential Area, Accra.
The occasion attracted a distinguished assembly of guests, including high-ranking state officials, prominent business leaders, close associates, and well-wishers who came to honour his remarkable life and achievements.
Among the notable personalities present was former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a long-time friend of the celebrant, who spent the day with him in a show of enduring friendship.
In a brief remark, the former President noted that even if Twum Barima had opted not to organise any celebration, he would still have chosen to spend the entire day with him in recognition of the milestone.
Following the church service, a grand celebratory party was held in his honour at The Alisa Hotel, where guests continued the festivities in a vibrant and memorable atmosphere.
The celebration not only highlighted Twum Barima’s personal achievements but also underscored his commitment to philanthropy and community support.
