Eric Ati, a Ghanaian alumnus of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), has been named the recipient of the Marcotte Family Outstanding Master of Science in Accountancy Award at Illinois State University in the United States.
The award recognises outstanding academic achievement, professionalism, and excellence in graduate accounting studies.
In a recent post shared on his LinkedIn page, he wrote, "I’m truly honoured to share that on April 30, 2026, I was recognised at the Illinois State University Department of Accounting awards ceremony as the recipient of the Marcotte Family Outstanding Master of Science in Accountancy Award.

"This award means a great deal to me, as it reflects not only academic effort but also a commitment to professionalism and growth in the field of accounting".
The Marcotte Family Award is presented to exceptional graduate students who demonstrate strong academic performance, commitment to the profession, and continuous personal development in the field of accounting.
According to him, the recognition fuels his motivation to keep learning with integrity, leading with professionalism, and preparing for success in a global business environment.
"I’m committed to using my skills to improve the well-being of stakeholders, promote equity and empowerment, and positively impact society as an ethical business professional", he added.
He also expressed appreciation to the Rexroad and Marcotte families for their incredible generosity and support, as well as to the Department of Accounting at Illinois State University.
