Alban Bagbin is Ghana's Speaker of Parliament
The Parliament of Ghana is set to resume sitting on Thursday, May 21, 2026, according to a statement signed by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
This commencement will be the second meeting of the second session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
In a statement dated May 4, 2026, the Speaker indicated that the meeting will begin on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10.00 AM at Parliament House in Accra.
The communication, bearing the official seal of Parliament, also serves as a formal directive to Members of Parliament and stakeholders, signalling the resumption of legislative business after recess.
