The fans were seen confronting Frimpong Manso
Tension boiled over at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex after Nations FC suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, May 3, 2026, with angry supporters confronting new head coach Frimpong Manso after the final whistle.
Mawuli Wayo’s early strike proved enough to hand Hearts all three points, ending Nations FC’s impressive unbeaten home run and leaving fans stunned at full time. However, the frustration did not end on the pitch.
As Manso attempted to leave the stadium, a section of supporters surrounded his vehicle, venting their anger over the result and the team’s recent performances.

Some fans branded him a “bad coach” and warned him not to return, with others going further to dare him not to step onto the club’s training grounds again.
The supporters questioned how Nations FC allowed Hearts of Oak to secure victory on their home turf, insisting the result was unacceptable.
Despite the club’s recent FA Cup success, fans dismissed the achievement, arguing it meant little given what they described as poor decisions and questionable team selections.
Many accused Manso of failing to listen to supporters’ calls for change, deepening the growing disconnect between the coach and the fanbase.
