Former Accra Hearts of oak goalkeeper, Richard Attah has boldly asserted that no goalkeeper in the Ghana Premier League has matched his achievements over the past decade, pointing to his historic domestic double as proof of his legacy.
Richard Attah, who previously starred for Hearts of Oak and now serves as assistant goalkeeper's coach at Port City FC, said his record of winning both the league title and the FA Cup in the same season remains unmatched among goalkeepers in Ghana.
“No goalkeeper in the Ghana Premier League has matched my record over the past decade,” Attah stated, emphasizing the uniqueness of his achievement.
The former shot-stopper highlighted that while several goalkeepers have impressed individually but none has replicated his feat of securing both major domestic trophies within a single campaign.
He acknowledged the quality of other goalkeepers in the league, including Benjamin Asare and Ofori Antwi, but maintained that his accomplishment stands apart.
“All these goalkeepers are good, but I’m talking about records. Mine was different. I set a record, and for the past 10 years, no goalkeeper has been able to break it,” he added.
