Ghana's High Commissioner speaks on issues at Scholarship Secretariat

Former Chief Executive of the Scholarship Secretariat, Kingsley Agyemang, created a “huge mess,” according to Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

Her remarks follow reports that he has been picked up by the Bureau of National Investigations over alleged fraud during his tenure.

She disclosed that while at the Scholarship Secretariat, “This man created a huge mess at the Secretariat.

He smuggled 50 students to Bangor University in 2025 when they were out of power.

There are other students in different cities in the UK whom he sent out in 2025 before they handed over power.

He issued the letters in December 2024 after they had lost power and before they handed over.

Those students are now stranded because we never officially sent students abroad in 2025.”
