Managing Director of the Irrigation Company of Upper Region(ICOUR) Ltd, Dominic A. Anarigide, has given a stern warning to encroachers of government land, especially those encroaching on ICOUR lands, that they risk having their properties demolished.
Anarigide added that people must avoid acquiring government land through illegal means and then proceeding to develop it.
“Stop encroaching on ICOUR lands because you may face the risk of demolition one day. Please, stay away from acquiring government lands illegally,” he warned.
His admonition follows the ongoing demolition of properties at the Sakumono Ramsar Site in Accra by the Forestry Commission, the Tema West Municipal Assembly and the Greater Accra Regional Security Council.
