A representative of CIWE Engineering Ltd Ghana made an appeal to the minister
A moment unfolded during an inspection of the Wenchi–Sawla road rehabilitation project when a contractor from CIWE Engineering Ltd Ghana pleaded with the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, not to terminate the company’s contract.
The emotional exchange occurred after the Roads Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of work on the project and questioned the contractor’s ability to complete the rehabilitation within the stipulated 24-month timeline.
During the inspection, Agbodza reportedly stated that he lacked confidence in the progress of the project and doubted whether the company could successfully deliver the road works on schedule.
