  If this lease is extended I hope Ghana's SSNIT and GOLDBOD can have a bigger stake/shareholding in this asset over the next 20yrs..
  
  At least if the mine is left in the competent hands of the current owners but with a larger ghana shareholding % eg. 45% then we can have a mine that will not be run down by any GOV. but with good inflows annually via bigger dividend payment in addition to royalities and all other exisiting statutories.....

It's about time we go after a few of them ( Ghanaian sellouts) who sellout the whole nation for their benefit and to satisfy their greed while hiding behind " cooked" statues ( they helped create by quo pro quo ) security agencies and internal system ( they have helped create ) to undermine and betray the hopes, aspirations and financial freedom of the masses - the Ghanaian people. Ghana must not be poor. We are being Short-changed by those whites at all fronts and spheres and yet they have the guts to tell us to get out of their countries?? Countries that we are funding and whose economies We are propping up year after year? We must copy what the Gulf states did to change our economic fortunes. The evidence are right in front of us. And this money must be tied to a 4 year time bound development and infrastructure programme where the demands of the chiefs and community are satisfied. This should cover roads schools hospitals etc , and any other things the chief and inhabitants need. And these contracts must be given to genuine companies who will employ the youth

  All South African Companies must sell majority stakes of subsidiaries in Ghana to Ghanaians.
  
  We will not target South African citizens in Ghana, but all South African countries operating in Ghana must sell, majority stakes to Ghanaians or leave.

  If you really want to take from Goldfields then give it to Newmont , Persues or Resolute. But not to a Ghanaian company and not to the Chinese but they must commit to short term infrastructure , developmentand investment programs for the communities. Like someone said you just need to do a survey of salaries and benefits of Ghanaian companies for ghanaian workers in the mines and it says it all. Rather get Goldfields to invest in infrastructure and development in the next 2 years. Outline projects for them
