Sometimes, lawyers make an offer to the other party not because their client will lose the case.

If you are dealing with business people in particular, sometimes you will have to make a deal because of all the public sentiments. Just imagine if he is going into a deal with an international company. That company will have an upper hand in negotiating all because of this case.

Lawyers in this regard need to have a long conversation with the client. Do the benefit cost analysis. See what their client is worth and his potential earnings, and so on then draft different options for the client to consider.

In all this, they will be looking at the counter from the other side. What the other party can do or not do with the deal. blah blah blah.

Another interesting part is that her refusal to take it can be presented in court as she has filed an appeal. Judges in Common Law jurisdictions don't like nonsense. They can look at the issue very well and have the mind that the woman is being unreasonable then not give her favours. 2Million Ghana Cedis is not small money. If she handles this money well, she will never be hungry in her life anymore. The appeal judges will have this in their minds before ruling.

For me, i believe the woman will take this deal and if her lawyers advise her to refuse it, she will have herself to blame down the line.

Another input into RNAQs lawyers is that they may have researched into the woman's ability to handle finances which may be very bad. This man has lived with her for a long time to know her competences in dealing with money. She may be cavorting with another man already and they know exactly how this money will be used or dissipated going forward.

For this reason, many women in the Western world don't like a clean break from their ex husbands during divorce. They want to be attached in a way due to the future as they know the potential of the man.

There are too many women who have take a booty from their ex husbands and lost all the money within 5 years or so. There is a celebrated matrimonial matter where the woman took a lot of money from her ex, moved to Australia, made some terrible investments, got married to a man who turned out to be a scammer and lost everything. She was back in the UK to seek for more money from the ex who had started building the business she nearly bankrupted back as she cited the business and the man had to sell some of its assets to defray the debt. The London courts used equity to give her some more money.

If this woman doesn't take this offer and continue with the case she may regret it in the future.
