  Mr. Mahama, please this chap has been there too long. Get an accomplished electrical or energy sector engineer to oversee this power sector. There are too many Dr. tags in your govt.

  Yes it is prudent to expand operating capacity of power plants, but will that be the best solution?
  Presently Ghana has capacity with existing thermal plants, but the cost of fuel and operating cost seems to make it challenging to power all of them.
  Thermal plants also have tendency to be located along the coast/ harbour towns .

  Why do we still concentrate on thermal plants instead of solar? Ghana is blessed with abundant sunshine for power generation instead of depending on thermal energy, which requires costly and diminishing fossil fuels. Let's make the development of solar energy plants our national priority.

  So you didn't hear of the large Solar Farm Mahama commissioned recently. Be abreast with the news. Energy mix is what Ghana is using now. Non of you.people have expressed concern about the lighted bulbs you see in front of shops even at 10am as you drive along the streets. After using the light the previous night they fail to switch it off and they are so many. Uncountable

  Government doing everything is good but we need to service other things in the country
  Globally the trend is public private investment in energy
  We need roads hospitals schools water works etc

  Jinapor again? After the IPP agreements now its TPP. Mahama will never learn. Please fire this guy before he plunges Ghana into another financial mess. I thought he Jinapor said our power generation capacity is more than we need after the IPP deals so why adding more to make our generation underutilized when instead of NDC thinking industrialization we are building markets? Who will consume the excess power?
