Residents in some flood-prone communities are calling for urgent intervention after heavy rains left several homes submerged, forcing families to flee to safety.

The latest flooding, captured in a video circulating online, shows houses inundated with floodwaters, with residents struggling to salvage their belongings as water levels continue to rise.

Some affected residents say they have been battling the flooding problem for years and fear the situation could worsen if immediate action is not taken.

Affected residents are appealing to the government, local authorities, and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to come to their aid and address the underlying causes of the flooding.
