Fidelity Bank has presented GH¢10,000 to Emmanuel Appiah Boateng in recognition of what it described as a remarkable display of honesty and integrity after he returned cash he found at one of its ATMs.
The bank explained that Emmanuel Boateng discovered GH¢4,000 left behind at an ATM but did not attempt to keep the money. Instead, he promptly reached out to the bank’s Customer Contact Centre to report the situation, allowing officials to trace and restore the funds to the rightful owner.
In a statement shared on social media on June 2, 2026, Fidelity Bank highlighted his actions as an example of strong moral character, noting that “Fidelity Bank has rewarded Emmanuel Appiah Boateng with GH¢10,000 in recognition of an outstanding act of honesty and integrity,” the bank stated.
The bank further detailed that after finding the cash at the ATM, Boateng immediately took steps to inform the institution rather than retaining it, ensuring the money was properly accounted for and returned.
