Joana Quaye (L) wants the court to protect her children from Hajia4Reall (R)
A motion filed at the High Court in Accra in the ongoing divorce and custody dispute between Joana Quaye and Richard Nii Armah Quaye (RNAQ) has raised strong allegations involving Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall.
The application is seeking changes to custody arrangements, reduced access for the father, and an order restricting the involvement of Mona Faiz Montrage in the children’s upbringing.
Below is a breakdown of the key concerns raised in the affidavit
Hajia4Reall's 'bad influence' video pops up in court in RNAQ divorce case - Report
Alleged role in children’s care
Joana alleges that Hajia4Reall plays an active role in the children's day-to-day environment when they are in their father's care. The filing describes her as the respondent's "concubine" and states that she is regularly present in the household during custody periods.
“Due to the Respondent’s busy schedule, he is virtually unavailable whenever he has custody of the children and consequently hands over the care and supervision of the children to a concubine, Hajia4Reall,” portions of the application read.
Concerns over social media videos and criminal conviction
The motion also raises concerns about videos allegedly recorded and shared involving the children, as well as Mona Faiz Montrage's criminal record.
According to the filing, Hajia4Reall records videos with the children while they are in their father's care. Joana describes some of the content as "explicit" and further alleges that videos featuring the children have been shared on social media platforms.
The affidavit further states that Mona Faiz Montrage is "an ex-convict, having been convicted of fraud and romance scam in the United States of America in 2024," and argues that this background makes her unsuitable to be around the children.
“That Mona Faiz Montrage is an ex-convict, having been convicted of fraud and romance scam in the United States of America in 2024. In her overzealous bid to show to the public that she is ‘bonding’ with my children, Hajia4Real frequently takes videos, including some explicit ones, with the children, and posts them on social media, exposing them to dangerous hazards.
"Attached herewith is a pen drive containing a folder marked as "Exhibit JQ3," which shows the relevant videos and photographs,” it added.
Allegations of “twerking” and online behavior
The filing further alleges that the children have been encouraged to engage in inappropriate behavior on social media.
Joana Quaye also expressed concern about the children's conduct in videos posted on social media, arguing that the content could expose them to inappropriate attention online.
“That recently, I observed my children in the company of the said Mona Faiz Montrage, aka Hajia4Reall, twerking on social media to the admiration of perverted predators, and I am deeply concerned for the moral welfare and safety of the children.
“That furthermore, whilst left unsupervised in the custody of the Respondent and Hajia4Reall, my children have developed an excessive interest in social media and are constantly posting objectionable content including dancing to profane music thereby exposing them to predators, active online grooming, and sexual exploitation. Attached herewith is a pendrive with a folder marked as “Exhibit JQ5” which shows the relevant videos,” it said.
The affidavit further alleges that one of the children appeared in a video recorded in the company of Hajia4Reall, which Joana Quaye describes as explicit and inappropriate.
“That having been influenced by the “twerking tendencies” of Hajia4Reall, my daughter, Ruphina, did a video of herself twerking for a boy in the Trasacco house a few weeks ago. I sent this video to the Respondent who acknowledged that the conduct was inappropriate. Attached herewith is a pendrive with a folder marked as “Exhibit JQ6”, wherein the relevant video is found.
“That the numerous videos and pictures uploaded by the Respondent and Hajia4Reall on the internet, TikTok, and YouTube show that the two are intentionally using the custody arrangements to portray a false pretence to the public of the Respondent being a caring and responsible father when in reality, he is not present or available to the children,” it added.
Claims of unsafe environment
The affidavit further argues that her presence is not conducive to the children’s welfare and is likely to create an unsafe environment for their upbringing.
“That Hajia4Reall's lifestyle and the living arrangements at the Trasacco house expose the children to harmful influences, including but not limited to moral degradation, exposure to criminal tendencies, lack of proper role modeling, psychological harm, social stigma, and potential endangerment of their physical and emotional well-being.
“That, further, the presence of a person who has recently been convicted of fraud and romance scam in the children's immediate environment and her responsibility for a part of their upbringing create an unsafe and unstable atmosphere, which is not conducive to their proper upbringing and development. Attached herewith and marked as Exhibit JQ4 are publications of the conviction of Hajia4Reall for fraud and romance scam including a press release issued by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of New York, Department of Justice (DOJ) of the United States of America dated 1st July 2024 (less than two years ago) and obtained from the DOJ website.
“That furthermore, whilst left unsupervised in the custody of the Respondent and Hajia4Reall, my children have developed an excessive interest in social media and are constantly posting objectionable content — including dancing to profane music — thereby exposing them to predators, active online grooming, and sexual exploitation. Attached herewith is a pendrive with a folder marked as “Exhibit JQ5” which shows the relevant videos.

“That whilst not averse to the children spending time with their father, I am of the respectful view that access by the Respondent ought to be reduced by this Honourable Court until such time that the Respondent can have a better family environment, so as to minimise their exposure to the morally depraved acts and undesirable influence of Hajia4Reall and Respondent’s lifestyle on the children,” the affidavit stated.
Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to June 26, 2026, when the court is expected to hear any additional arguments and proceed with the hearing of the pending applications.
