The fire officers 'attacked' the motor rider for saying they had no water in fire tenders
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) apprehended a delivery rider for allegedly making false claims about their operations.
According to details in a video shared by Joy News and sighted by GhanaWeb on June 5, 2026, the rider claimed that a fire tender deployed to the scene of a fire outbreak had no water.

The video shows three fire officers confronting the young man, with one of them appearing to clench his fist to strike him in the chest.
The incident drew protest from onlookers who had gathered at the scene and witnessed the confrontation.
One of the officers intervened and appeared to reprimand his colleague following the confrontation with the rider.
The rider was then escorted to the fire tender, where he was shown that it contained water.
After the compartment was opened, water could be seen flowing onto the ground.
One of the officers, while explaining the incident, dismissed the claim and stated that the service had sufficient fire tenders with adequate water supplies to carry out its duties.
