Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy Programme, Augustus Goosie Tanoh
Augustus Goosie Tanoh, Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development, has addressed diaspora Ghanaians living in the United Kingdom at a town hall engagement in London.
He appealed to them to invest back home and contribute to the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Initiative of the government by funding export-driven value chains, transferring technical skills, and partnering with local industries.
The town hall engagement, organised by the Ghana High Commission in London, formed part of efforts to enable President John Dramani Mahama to connect with diaspora Ghanaians during his five-day high-level visit to the United Kingdom.
It was aimed at updating diaspora Ghanaians on the country’s macroeconomic recovery, discussing national development priorities, and encouraging diaspora investment and skills transfer.
Tanoh’s presentation served as both a progress report on the flagship policy and a strategic appeal for diaspora capital to support Ghana’s industrial transformation.
He opened his presentation by highlighting Ghana’s improved economic indicators under President Mahama’s administration since January 2025, establishing credibility before outlining investment opportunities.
