President Mahama did politics with flooding – Miracles Aboagye alleges

Dennis Miracles Aboagye has dismissed arguments that politicians should stay away from debates over flooding, saying the issue has always been part of Ghana’s political discourse.

He rejected criticism of those questioning the performance of Stan Dogbe’s anti-flood task force.

“I find it very laughable listening to the NDC saying that we shouldn’t do politics with this flood issue,” he said.

Aboagye argued that previous governments and opposition parties have all used flooding as a measure of governance and public accountability.

“President Mahama did politics with it,” he added.

He maintained that because flooding affects lives, homes and public infrastructure, those leading anti-flood interventions, including Stan Dogbe, should expect political scrutiny when problems persist.
