President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has thrown his full support behind Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz, praising the veteran tactician's vast experience and impressive coaching pedigree ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

Speaking about the Portuguese trainer, Okraku revealed that Queiroz emerged as the top candidate following a rigorous recruitment process that involved multiple rounds of interviews with several shortlisted applicants.

According to the GFA president, the coach's extensive résumé and track record at both club and international level made him the standout choice for the role.

"I think so far he's been good. He's a man of his words with over 40 years of experience at the highest level of football, both at club level and at international level. He wouldn't have gotten here by chance," Okraku stated.

The football administrator described Queiroz as humble yet firm, qualities he believes have contributed significantly to the coach's success throughout his managerial career.

Okraku also highlighted Queiroz's involvement with some of football's biggest institutions, including Real Madrid and Manchester United, where he worked alongside some of the game's most celebrated figures.

"He's been part of the Galáctico story at Real Madrid and part of the history that was made at Old Trafford. He has managed top players including the Neville brothers and David Beckham. If there's somebody who has seen it all in football, he fits that bill," he said.

The GFA boss stressed that Queiroz commands natural respect in the dressing room because of his wealth of experience and ability to manage players from different backgrounds and personalities.

"It's important that we give him the support, it's important that we give him the respect, and it's important that we believe he has not arrived here by chance. We must support the work he is doing for Ghana," he added.
