‘It Is an honour’- Stanley Menzo reacts to Asante Kotoko appointment

Newly-appointed Asante Kotoko Director of Football Stanley Menzo has said that the club's rich history and ambitious vision convinced him to accept the role.

The former Netherlands goalkeeper was unveiled by the Porcupine Warriors on Monday, June 9, 2026, as part of a restructuring exercise aimed at strengthening the club's football operations.

Reacting to his appointment, Menzo expressed excitement about joining one of Africa's most decorated football clubs.

"It is an honour to join a club of the stature and history of Asante Kotoko. The passion of the supporters and the ambition of the leadership made this an easy decision” he stated.

The 62-year-old added that he is eager to begin work with the technical team and players as the club pursues silverware.

"I look forward to working with the technical team, the players and the entire Kotoko family to build something special and to compete for the trophies this club deserves," he added.
