Ken Ofori-Atta (L) and Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu (R) have been caught up in extradition battles
Following the extradition of Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, a former MASLOC CEO convicted on over 70 corruption charges, social media has erupted with questions over former Minister of Finance, Kenneth Ofori-Atta.
Most users praised the US Embassy in Ghana for the strong law enforcement cooperation between the two countries leading to the successful extradition.
BREAKING: Former MASLOC CEO Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu lands in Ghana
According to many social media users, they see this as a clear message that justice has no borders and that there is no longer a safe haven for those who loot public funds.
However, the dominant question on the lips of most X users is the whereabouts of the former finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
While applauding the government and the US Embassy for bringing Sedina back to serve her 10-year sentence, thousands are calling for the same urgency to secure the return of Ken Ofori-Atta so he can also face accountability in Ghana.
One user wrote: "When will you send Ken Ofori-Atta to Ghana as well to account for money stolen in the MSL deal? We are interested in that case as well”.
"There’s still one big elephant in the room. The former finance minister is still at large in the US. Hope the law continues to take its course," another user sought to know.
Another wrote while applauding the USA: "Kudos to America for bringing back the convicted thief when this NDC govt deliberately failed to bring her to face justice. I’m reliably informed there’re arrangements to pardon her by Mahama and the Chief Justice."

Kudos to America for bringing back the convicted thief when this NDC govt deliberately failed to bring her to face justice. I’m reliably informed there’re arrangements to pardon her by Mahama and the Chief Justicee.

Excellent job, @USEmbassyGhana. Politicians will now think twice before embezzling state funds and stealing from the citizens, knowing full well that there is no safe haven in the West for them to hide. Please try to extradite Hon. Ken Ofori as well. Many thanks! 👏🏾

We need Ken Ofori Atta too. He is more corrupt than the lady you have brought. Don't shield him because he has big investments in your economy. Justice has no boarders indeed but it must be served irrespective of who is involved. #BringKenOforiAtta
