35-year-old teacher found dead in his room

A 35-year-old teacher of the Anweam R/C Primary School in Akyem Anweam in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region has been found dead in his room under unclear circumstances.

According to a post shared on social media by Ghana Chronicles on June 10, 2026, the body of the teacher, identified as Atinka Joseph, was discovered in his room on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Reports indicate that concerns were raised after all attempts to locate the deceased proved futile.

A search led to the discovery of his lifeless body in his room.

The body has since been retrieved, while police has commenced investigations into the incident to determine the circumstances that led to his death.

The incident has thrown residents of the area into a state of shock.
