Snipped of the bus conductor and the task force officer arguing over who dumped the rubbish
A viral video has captured the moment a task force officer confronted a bus conductor (trotro mate) who allegedly dumped rubbish from his car by the roadside.
The bus conductor could be seen vehemently denying responsibility for littering after being confronted by a task force officer, insisting that it was a passenger who threw the rubbish from the moving vehicle.
In a video shared on X by The State News on June 10, 2026, the mate is seen responding to accusations that he had discarded waste from the vehicle onto the street.
“I am the mate. I’m not the one who threw the rubbish out,” he said, rejecting claims that he was responsible for the act.
According to the mate, the rubbish had been properly packed and kept inside the vehicle before a passenger allegedly took it and threw it onto the street.

“I packed the rubbish in the car. I don’t know why the passenger took it out,” he explained.
The task force officer, however, questioned why the driver failed to stop the passenger from littering, arguing that those in charge of the vehicle had a responsibility to ensure proper disposal of waste.
“Why didn’t the driver tell the passenger not to litter the place?” the officer asked.
Responding to the concern, the mate maintained that the driver was unaware of the passenger’s actions.
“The driver didn’t see it,” he said.
