A final-year student of the Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS), identified as Apassa Isaac, has reportedly died after leaving the school campus without permission during the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The incident was reported by Jasper Ziggle in a social media post on June 15, 2026.
According to the post, Isaac sat for his English Language paper before allegedly leaving the school premises without authorization and heading into town.

Shortly after leaving the campus, he reportedly fell ill and was rushed to a health facility for medical attention.
He was later diagnosed with severe malaria but reportedly died despite efforts by health professionals to save his life.
The circumstances surrounding his departure from the school campus remain unclear.
Meanwhile, authorities at Koforidua Senior High Technical School are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
