Black Stars squad were welcomed by fans in Toronto
The Black Stars squad received a warm reception upon their arrival in Toronto, Canada, on June 15, 2026, ahead of their opening game at the FIFA World Cup.
Several Ghanaian supporters gathered at the team's hotel, cheering for the players and engaging in a spirited jama session to create a lively atmosphere.
When the bus arrived, the players and officials stepped out and entered the hotel. Many of them acknowledged the fans with waves, while others clapped back in appreciation.
Black Stars' World Cup outreach event becomes talking point
The team will hold training sessions to stay in shape and be fully prepared for their first game of the tournament against Panama at Toronto Stadium.
The match is expected to be fiercely contested, as both sides aim for victory to strengthen their chances in a group that could prove tricky if results do not go their way.
Coach Carlos Queiroz and the players have assured fans that they will give their best to secure a win before the remaining two group matches.
The tournament, taking place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, began on June 11, 2026. Ghana will compete against England, Croatia, and Panama in Group L for a place in the knockout stage.
