Ghana’s senior men’s national football team, the Black Stars, won their first game at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the BMO Field in Toronto, Canada.

Expectedly, both Ghanaians at the stadium and back home were thrown into ecstasy by the late winning goal by Caleb Yirenkyi.
