Nii Armah wanted to see me during his divorce case, but I refused – Lawyer Ampaw

Private legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw has revealed that businessman Nii Armah Quaye allegedly sought a meeting with him during a period of public controversy surrounding his divorce proceedings.

According to Ampaw, intermediaries approached him on behalf of Nii Armah, but he declined the invitation.

Speaking on GhanaWeb’s Lowdown show, Ampaw explained that he avoids private engagements with powerful individuals when he is publicly commenting on issues involving them.

“I was told he wanted to see me, but I refused. Once you go and sit with such people, there is the possibility that your position on the matter may change,” he said.

He maintained that preserving his independence as a commentator requires avoiding situations that could create perceptions of bias or compromise.
