Partey was spotted in Black Stars training
Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey has been spotted training with the team ahead of their second group game against England in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Villarreal midfielder was denied entry to Canada due to his ongoing rape charges, which rendered him ineligible to play against Panama. As a result, he missed Ghana’s 1-0 win against Panama in Toronto.
His attempt to overturn the decision through an appeal also failed, as the court largely sided with Canada’s immigration department.

Since he is eligible to play in the United States, Partey is expected to feature in the game against the Three Lions, despite claims that the controversy may take a toll on him.
In a recent training session, Partey was seen actively involved, performing his duties as a midfielder while the squad was divided into two groups for practice matches.
With England’s strong start against Croatia, the Black Stars will need to work diligently to secure a result that could book their ticket to the next stage of the competition.
After England’s 4-2 win against Croatia, the Three Lions lead Group L with three points, alongside Ghana, while Panama and Croatia sit third and fourth with zero points after the first round of matches.
