Kwabena Adu-Boahene is standing trial for alleged misappropriation of GH¢49 million
The investigator in the ongoing case of Republic v Kwabena Adu-Boahene and Another has made fresh revelations in court regarding the alleged misappropriation of GH¢49.1 million earmarked for the purchase of a cyber defence system for the National Signals Bureau (NSB).
According to updates shared by the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) account on June 22, 2026, the investigator, who is testifying as a prosecution witness, detailed how funds allocated for the cybersecurity project were allegedly diverted by the accused persons.

“The investigator in the case of Republic v Kwabena Adu-Boahene & Another (Cybersecurity Software Scandal Case) is currently making explosive revelations about how the GH¢49.1 million meant for the purchase of a cyber defence system for the National Signals Bureau was allegedly stolen by the accused persons,” portions of the post stated.
The case forms part of ongoing proceedings relating to the alleged cybersecurity software scandal involving former Director-General of the NSB, Kwabena Adu-Boahene.
Meanwhile, proceedings in the case of Republic v Gifty Oware Mensah also continued in court on June 22, 2026.
Cross-examination of the second prosecution witness was completed during the day's sitting, which lasted about an hour before the witness was discharged.
The court is expected to hear testimony from the third prosecution witness on June 23, 2026.
Following that testimony, the fourth prosecution witness, expected to be the State's final witness, will take the stand as prosecutors move to close their case.

“The court will now hear the evidence of the third prosecution witness beginning tomorrow, June 23, after which the fourth prosecution witness, who will be the State's last witness, will take the witness stand to close the State's case,” the update indicated.
