Italian engineering and manufacturing companies that participated in the West African Mining and Power Expo (WAMPEX 2026) have expressed optimism about expanding their operations in Ghana and the wider West African market following successful engagements at the event.

The companies said the exhibition provided an opportunity to showcase their technologies and industrial solutions while building relationships with potential partners, clients and stakeholders in the mining and energy sectors.

According to representatives of the participating firms, interest in their products and services exceeded expectations, leading to several business discussions that could result in partnerships, distributorship agreements and project collaborations.

Among the exhibitors was Metalgalante, which showcased its CARMIX mobile off-road concrete batching plants. The company said the event highlighted growing demand for flexible on-site construction solutions suitable for mining and infrastructure projects.

Diefenbach also reported strong interest in its filtration and tailings management systems, noting that mining companies are increasingly seeking solutions that support environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.

In the renewable energy sector, Horus said WAMPEX provided a platform to promote its integrated energy solutions. The company expressed interest in supporting solar and hybrid energy projects, particularly within Ghana's mining industry.

Other participating firms, including Davi-Promau and Bedeschi, said they generated promising business leads during the exhibition. Davi-Promau engaged stakeholders interested in advanced metal-forming technologies, while Bedeschi attracted attention for its bulk material-handling systems used in mining and export operations.

The companies indicated that they are following up on discussions held during the expo, with some already exploring site visits, technical consultations and feasibility studies with prospective Ghanaian partners.
