According to Yeboah he would gladly accept the offer and relocate to Ghana
A Ghanaian man living in the United Kingdom, identified as Yeboah, has sparked reactions on social media following his emotional remarks about returning to Ghana.
In a viral street interview, Yeboah was asked whether he would accept £200,000 to leave the UK and never return.
In response, he said he would gladly accept the offer and relocate to Ghana.
According to him, the £200,000 was even more than he needed, stating that he would be willing to return home for £50,000 or even £10,000.
In a video shared on X on June 22, 2026, Yeboah explained that many Africans remain abroad not because they do not value their home countries but because of the lack of opportunities and access to financial support to establish businesses.
“£200,000 is too much. Maybe you can give me £50,000 or even £10,000 and I will go back to Ghana and never return to the UK.

“Those who think Africans do not have a vision are mistaken. Africa has a lot of opportunities and investments that can be explored if people have the capital to start. Here in the UK, if I want to go into business, there are institutions that can support me through loans and other financial opportunities. There is no excessive pressure because repayment can be done over time,” Yeboah said.
“But back home, such opportunities are limited and that is why most of us are forced to remain here,” he added.
“£200,000 is too much. Just give me £50,000, and I will leave the UK for Ghana and never return.”
