Chairman of Parliament City Club, Suliaman Alhassan Cobbiah, has described the 2026 edition of GhanaWeb’s A Walk with Dad initiative as a worthwhile experience that promoted good health and physical fitness.
Speaking after participating in the event, Cobbiah acknowledged that the journey from Ayi Mensah Toll Booth to Lodge Tavern was challenging due to the long distance but emphasised that the benefits made it worthwhile.
“It was not easy because this is the first time, and a lot of people complained that the journey was too far. But it was cool. It is healthy too, so we keep the body fit and enjoy all the same,” he stated.
Explaining his reason for joining the event, Cobbiah praised GhanaWeb for creating a platform to honour fathers and father figures.
“Today is Father’s Day and since GhanaWeb is one of the biggest companies in Ghana, and they invited Parliament City Club to celebrate with them, I think it is a very good initiative. We are here to join GhanaWeb in celebrating fathers,” he said.
The 2026 A Walk with Dad event brought together hundreds of fathers, children, families, and fitness enthusiasts in a celebration of health, togetherness and family bonding.
The event commenced at 6:30 a.m. and ended at 10:00 a.m., with participants embarking on a refreshing walk from Ayi Mensah to Lodge Tavern, where they engaged in several activities aimed at promoting teamwork, physical wellness, and stronger family relationships.
