Joseph Ampadu, a Ghanaian global solo traveller, is seeking to make history by becoming the first man to travel across five continents with his Ghana-registered G Wagon.

The Ghanaian traveller wants to be the first person in the world to have driven a car through Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.

So far, he has made history, with his car being the first from Africa to successfully tour North America.

In a brief profile shared on his website, Ampadu indicated that he was to be the first person to drive his own car and cover 1,000,000 kilometres, touching all five continents on Earth.

An update shared on the website indicated that Ampadu began the journey from Ghana’s capital, Accra, to Côte d’Ivoire, then continued to Mali, Senegal, Mauritania and Morocco.

From Morocco, he entered the European Union through Spain and continued to drive alone through five European countries, including France, Monaco, Italy and Austria.

At the end of the European tour, the G Wagon was shipped to North America. From North America, Ampadu would move to Australia, where his tour would start in Sydney.
