Ken Ofori-Atta is the former Minister of Finance in Ghana
A leading member of pressure group, Arise Ghana, Selorm Dzramado, has disclosed that the group will intensify its campaign for accountability in the case involving former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, despite suspending its #BringBackKenOforiAtta picketing campaign.
Speaking in an interview on TV3, on June 23, 2026, Dzramado said the group's decision to suspend the demonstration does not signal an end to its demands for the former minister to respond to allegations levelled against him.
According to him, Arise Ghana is now shifting its focus to engaging state institutions responsible for investigating matters involving public officials.
"Arise Ghana intends to visit the state agencies that are mandated to investigate issues involving Mr Ken Ofori Atta. We will formally be paying calls on state institutions that are investigating crime and holding duty-bearers accountable," he stated.

Dzramado explained that the group has adopted a strategic approach in pursuing the matter and will continue to monitor developments while awaiting a response from authorities.
"Arise Ghana, we have a lot on our plate. What is on the boil now is Ken Ofori Atta's case," he said.
He rejected suggestions that the group was selectively pursuing the former finance minister while remaining silent on other cases involving public officials.
Responding to questions about calls for the extradition of former MASLOC Chief Executive, Sedina Tamakloe Attionu, Dzramado maintained that Arise Ghana remains committed to demanding accountability across the board.
"In the case of Madam Sedina Tamakloe, she has been convicted. For us to appear as people who are championing the supreme interest of Ghana and being led by a sense of objectivity and integrity, we must as well talk about Madam Tamakloe," he said.
He added that the group has not abandoned the matter involving the former MASLOC boss but is pursuing issues based on a carefully considered strategy.
"It is not like we have jettisoned Madam Tamakloe's case and are only pursuing Ken Ofori Atta. No, it is a strategy we have adopted. Madam Tamakloe's time will come," he stressed.
Dzramado further indicated that Arise Ghana's actions are motivated by the need to ensure public officials uphold the principles of transparency and accountability.
"Our duty-bearers must always demonstrate integrity, probity and accountability," he stated.
