A man who described himself as a former fraudster has shared his experiences and regrets over decisions he made while engaging in criminal activities, including seeking assistance from fetish priests.

Speaking on Asempa FM, the man said he reached a stage in his life where he made choices that he now deeply regrets.

“During my fraudulent days, I reached a point where I made very regrettable decisions, to the extent of seeking help from fetish priests,” he recounted.

According to him, those involved in fraudulent schemes often believed that spiritual assistance could help them succeed in deceiving their targets and getting just any amount of money from the victim could be used against the person in order to control them.

“When someone wants to harm you, all they need is money from your hard-earned income. That was what we were after,” he said.

The man further claimed that members of the group relied on various practices which they believed enhanced their ability to influence potential victims.

“We sometimes used African wear, performed certain rituals on them, and sent them to clients abroad.

“We believed that once they wore them, we could influence their decisions and make them do what we wanted,” he alleged.

He also claimed that when prospective victims appeared resistant, they would return to individuals they believed possessed spiritual powers for further assistance.

“When clients proved stubborn and reluctant, we took the matter back to the man who was helping us, and whatever we did appeared to work for us,” he stated.

Reflecting on his past, the former fraudster expressed regret over his involvement in such activities and cautioned others against engaging in crime or seeking shortcuts to wealth.
