Ghana's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare, has reaffirmed the strong and historic ties between Ghana and Burkina Faso following a courtesy visit by Burkina Faso's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting, held in Riyadh, focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two neighbouring West African countries.

According to Ambassador Sinare, the discussions were cordial and productive, covering a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including diplomacy, trade, investment, regional peace and security, economic integration and other areas aimed at promoting the shared development aspirations of Ghana and Burkina Faso.

He described the engagement as an opportunity to reinforce the enduring bonds of friendship, brotherhood and strategic cooperation that have long characterised relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Sinare also praised Burkina Faso's recent industrial and infrastructural development, describing it as a significant milestone in the country's quest for economic transformation.

"I commended the leadership of Burkina Faso for the remarkable infrastructural and industrial transformation currently taking place in the country," he said in a Facebook post after the meeting.

He noted that the establishment of numerous factories and productive industries reflected "visionary leadership" and a firm commitment to economic self-reliance, employment creation and sustainable national development.

According to him, the industrialisation drive is already generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs for the people of Burkina Faso and serves as an example of purposeful governance in the West African sub-region.

The Ghanaian envoy expressed optimism that continued diplomatic engagement between the two countries would further enhance cooperation and contribute to peace, stability and economic prosperity across the region.

The meeting underscores the importance that both Ghana and Burkina Faso attach to strengthening bilateral relations and advancing regional integration through sustained diplomatic dialogue and collaboration.
