Investment management firm NIMED Capital Limited is making a bold pitch to everyday Ghanaians, giving everyone the opportunity to begin investing with the company with as little as GH¢20 and a Ghana Card.

CEO Abena Buachiewaa Brigidi made the disclosure while speaking to GhanaWeb at the company's investment float in East Legon on Friday, June 26, 2026, an awareness drive designed to bring NIMED Capital's services directly to the public.

According to her, the low entry point is aimed at dismantling the long-held belief that investing is only for the wealthy.

"The minimum that you can invest in that fund is GH¢20. That means that everybody, anybody can invest in that fund. And then that also diffuses that argument that you need to get a billion Ghana cedis, a million Ghana cedis, a hundred thousand Ghana cedis or 10,000 Ghana cedis to invest, you don't need that much," she said.

The GH¢20 minimum applies to the company's Nimed Fixed Income Fund, a mutual fund targeting short-term and medium-term financial objectives. For those with longer-term goals, the Nimed Lifetime Unit Trust is available at a minimum of GH¢50.

Beyond mutual funds, NIMED Capital also offers private wealth management services, helping high-net-worth individuals build portfolios comprising stocks, treasury bills and fixed deposits. The firm additionally manages pension funds, including tier two and tier three schemes.

Brigidi stressed that the firm is open to Ghanaians both at home and in the diaspora, with multiple convenient investment channels available including a mobile app, USSD codes and Mobile Money.

"For our family in the diaspora, if you have a Ghana card, we are able to help you invest," she said.

The CEO drew a clear distinction between NIMED Capital and microfinance or savings and loans institutions.

"We do not offer loans. We are an investment advisory firm. We are a fund management company and that's our core," she stated.

NIMED Capital Limited is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and regulated by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA).
