The 32nd Annual Ijtema was organised by the Greater Accra Region of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana
Alhaj Ubeidullah Saeed Kutia, the keynote speaker at the just-ended 32nd Annual Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana, has called on members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association to remain steadfast in their faith and serve as role models for younger generations.
Delivering the keynote address at the event, held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Tema Zonal Headquarters in Community 5, Greater Accra, Alhaj Kutia urged members to remain fully dedicated to the cause of Allah amid growing societal influences that challenge religious values.
The 32nd Annual Ijtema, organised by the Greater Accra Region of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana, was held under the theme: "Total Dedication to the Cause of Allah: The Hallmark of a True Nasir, Sacrifice in Attaining Righteousness."
Addressing participants, Alhaj Kutia noted that today's generation is confronted with numerous distractions and competing ideologies that have the potential to weaken their commitment to faith.
"Our children and grandchildren are growing up in a world filled with competitive ideologies, distractions, and influences that can weaken their attachment to faith. It is in such times that the role of Majlis Ansarullah becomes even more critical," he said.
He stressed that members of the association have a responsibility to preserve Islamic values within their homes and communities.
"As mature members of the Jama'at, we are expected to be the custodians of faith, the protectors of family values, and the standard-bearers of righteousness. Our conduct should inspire our families. Our devotion should strengthen our faith, and our sacrifices should encourage future generations," he added.
Also speaking at the event, the Greater Accra Regional Nazim of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana, Mustapha Salifu, called on members of the association to contribute towards the construction of a permanent national headquarters to strengthen the operations of the organisation.
According to him, every member is expected to contribute a minimum of GH¢500 this year to enable the association to acquire land at Osu for the proposed headquarters.
"Another major project before us is the national project for the construction of a befitting national headquarters building at Osu. In this regard, each of us here is expected to pay a minimum of GH¢500 this year to enable the Majlis to acquire land in Osu for the headquarters building.
"The vision is to put up an edifice worthy of the operations and dignity of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana. This will greatly support our movement, programmes, welfare activities, and outreach efforts across the country," he said.
Mustapha Salifu also highlighted the association's "Feed the Hungry Project", describing it as one of the flagship humanitarian initiatives of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana.
He explained that the project seeks to provide food items and other essential supplies to vulnerable people, regardless of their religious affiliation.
"Last but not least is the Feed the Hungry Project, which was initiated by Majlis Ansarullah. It seeks to provide food items and other essentials, such as yams, beans, rice, and other non-perishable items, for the needy. This initiative is not limited to Ahmadiyya Muslims alone but is intended for vulnerable members of the wider society.
"This is in line with the true Islamic spirit of compassion, service, and love for humanity," he stated.
Mustapha Salifu further appealed to members to remain committed to supporting the association's development agenda, stressing that the success of the projects depends on collective sacrifice and dedication.
"Respected members of Majlis Ansarullah, the successful execution of these projects requires dedication, sacrifice, and commitment. Although the tasks ahead may appear enormous, I am convinced that with faith, unity, and sincere effort, we can achieve these objectives within the stipulated timeframe," he added.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the event, the Chairman of Sadr Majlis Ansarullah Ghana, Alhaj Ali Muhammed Katu, explained the significance of the theme and outlined the association's vision.
He called for unity not only among Muslims but also among people of all religious backgrounds in Ghana.
According to him, one of the key objectives of the event was to promote selflessness, harmony, and peaceful coexistence within society.
"...It doesn't matter whether you are a Christian or a Muslim; we are all Ghanaians, and we should focus on the development of the nation and our communities. Also, one of our core visions is to live in harmony, love one another, and train our children to be selfless," Alhaj Ali Muhammed Katu said.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Tema West, Teye Totimeh, who also attended the event, commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association for organising the programme and encouraging members to deepen their commitment to Allah.
"What could be better than this? We are human beings. We do not know what will happen in the next minute or tomorrow. Only Allah knows the future, and if we remain dedicated to Him, He can guarantee our future," Teye Totimeh noted.
