Some notable personalities have visited the team since they began their journey in the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

These include musicians who entertained the players and technical staff to ease pressure and prepare them adequately for the games.

Meanwhile, individuals from the political sphere also visited the team to motivate them, assuring them that the government is fully behind them and hinting at possible financial incentives if they excel.

However, these visits have raised concerns among some fans, who believe they do not help the team enough, arguing that the players should be allowed to focus solely on training and matches.

The Black Stars will face Colombia in the Round of 32 on July 4, 2026, after qualifying from the group stage.

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Others

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa announced that President John Dramani Mahama has prepared a “special package” for the Black Stars in recognition of their performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ablakwa made the announcement during a visit to the team’s camp in Rhode Island on Thursday as part of a high-powered government delegation led by Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, Victor Smith.

The delegation, which also included Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams and businessman-philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama, met the players and technical staff before their Group L clash against Croatia.

Addressing the squad, Ablakwa conveyed a message from President Mahama, describing him as one of the team’s biggest supporters:

"I want to bring you very warm greetings from His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, who, as you know, is your ardent fan."

Black Sherif

As excitement built among Ghanaians both at home and abroad before the Black Stars’ opening match against Panama, Ghanaian global music sensation Black Sherif paid a special visit to the team’s camp in the United States.

A video that went viral on social media captured the award-winning artiste sharing a memorable moment with the players as he performed and danced to his hit song “Top of the Morning.”

The Black Stars players appeared to be in high spirits as they sang along, danced, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere created by Black Sherif’s visit, showing unity and confidence ahead of their crucial opening fixture.

King Promise

Music star King Promise also paid a morale-boosting visit to the Black Stars as the team prepared for their decisive final Group L clash against Croatia.

The singer met players and technical staff after the squad arrived in Philadelphia, ahead of the game which they eventually lost 2-1.

King Promise congratulated the Black Stars and encouraged them to remain focused and united as they pursued qualification for the Round of 32, expressing confidence in their ability to achieve greater success.
