Heavy downpour floods Jubilee House road stretch
Heavy flooding has engulfed the road stretch between 37 Military Hospital and Ako Adjei Interchange, near the seat of the presidency, Jubilee House, following hours of torrential rainfall that battered parts of Accra from June 28 to June 29, 2026.
Videos shared by TV3 Ghana on social media show large sections of the road in front of Jubilee House inundated with floodwaters, covering multiple lanes and significantly slowing the movement of vehicles.

The flooding forms part of the widespread disruption caused by the heavy rains, which have submerged several major roads and communities across the Greater Accra Region.
Several commuters have been stranded, while motorists have been urged to avoid driving through floodwaters where possible.
The Ministry of the Interior has advised the public to exercise extreme caution and refrain from attempting to force their way through flooded roads, warning that rapidly rising water levels pose serious risks to lives and property.
The Ghana Meteorological Agency has also indicated that rainfall is expected to persist into the afternoon, with additional rain-bearing clouds moving in from the Benin-Togo coastal corridor, raising concerns that flooding could worsen in some areas.
