Dr James Orleans-Lindsay is the President of GREDA
The Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) has pledged its support to the Government and the citizens affected by recent flooding across the country on June 29, 2026 particularly in Accra, as heavy rains continue during the current season.
According to GREDA, the rains have displaced more properties and lives posing as a major worry to the state.
In a statement signed by its President, Dr James Orleans-Lindsay, GREDA expressed solidarity with communities impacted by the floods and called on the public to strictly observe safety measures issued by the Ministry of the Interior and other state agencies.
“GREDA stands in solidarity with the Government and the people of Ghana, particularly Accra in the aftermath of the floods in the period of this rains. We encourage the citizenry to abide by the safety directives put out by the Ministry of Interior and its applied agencies,” it stated.
The association emphasised that adherence to these directives is vital to reducing risks during the ongoing rains.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to working with government to tackle Ghana’s housing challenges.
“As partners in housing the people of Ghana, GREDA continues to play this pivotal role in providing decent and safe housing for Ghanaians,” it concluded.
