Business executive, Mary Aboah, has urged women seeking to balance family responsibilities with professional growth to approach both with intentionality and consistency.

Speaking at the second edition of Convergence of Mothers organised by media personality MzGee, Aboah reflected on her personal journey through motherhood, career transitions, loss and rebuilding, stressing that success in both family and professional life rarely happens by accident.

According to her, women often face competing demands from their homes, workplaces and personal aspirations, making it necessary to consciously create systems that support their goals.

"It's not easy. But it is up to you and it is intentional," she told participants.

Aboah recounted how she navigated motherhood while pursuing career opportunities, at times having to make sacrifices that altered the course of her professional journey.

She explained that despite setbacks and unexpected life changes, she remained focused on her long-term goals and trusted that new opportunities would emerge.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Aboah also manages the demands of a blended family, bringing together seven children under one household structure.

The experience, she said, has reinforced the importance of consistency, patience and commitment.

"Now the role is different. Seven children plus a higher role. Trust me, mentally and socially, you will be affected," she said.

Despite the pressures, she maintains that women can successfully manage multiple responsibilities when they remain focused and intentional about the lives they want to build.

"You need to be consistent," she advised.

Aboah acknowledged that balancing career advancement and family life can be mentally, emotionally and socially demanding, but encouraged women not to be discouraged by the challenges.

Instead, she urged mothers to take each stage of life as it comes, remain committed to their responsibilities and continue working toward their goals.

"Work hard, you can achieve," she said.
