Some passengers and passersby rescued a driver near the Association Traffic Light on Liberation Road in Accra on Monday, July 6, 2026, after his vehicle somersaulted.
According to a TV3 report, the Mitsubishi driver, while attempting to avoid an Okada rider who veered into his lane, lost control and somersaulted his vehicle.
The driver became trapped inside the vehicle until passengers and drivers of commercial vehicles intervened to flip it back over, allowing him to escape safely.
In a video shared on social media, the passengers were seen working together to overturn the vehicle so the driver could be rescued.

They pushed the car onto its side, enabling the driver to come out unhurt.
The video was accompanied by the caption, “This morning, near the Association Traffic Light on Liberation Road, a Mitsubishi driver attempting to avoid an Okada rider who veered into his lane somersaulted his vehicle. The driver was trapped until passengers and drivers from commercial vehicles intervened to flip the car back over, allowing him to escape safely.”
