Female JHS student allegedly slashes schoolmate with cutlass over repeated breast touching

A first-year Junior High School (JHS) student of the Assin Krofofrodo D/A Basic School in the Assin North District of the Central Region is receiving treatment at the hospital after suffering a deep machete wound allegedly inflicted on him by a female senior student at the school for repeatedly touching her breast during a campus clean-up exercise.

According to a report by citinewsroom on July 6, 2026, the 15-year-old JHS 2 female student had repeatedly warned the victim against the act, but he defied the warning.

School authorities had instructed the students to weed the overgrown school compound using cutlasses.

During the exercise, the boy is said to have repeatedly played with and fondled her breasts.

However, she alleged that the boy, who was determined to "have a feel" of her breasts, ignored her warnings and continued the inappropriate conduct.

Angered by his actions, the female student picked up a cutlass and slashed the boy on his inner wrist.

The victim sustained a deep cutlass wound and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment after bleeding profusely.

Meanwhile, the parents of the injured student have accused the school authorities of negligence, alleging that they showed no concern after the incident occurred during school hours.

They claim the boy was left unattended for some time despite bleeding profusely before his parent returned from the farm and eventually took him to the hospital for medical attention.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the elder sister of the victim, Joyce Enyan, called on the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the conduct of the school authorities and their handling of the situation.

"He said a female colleague inflicted a cutlass wound on him while they were playing. He said he wrapped his arm around her neck and mistakenly touched her breast.

"The teachers didn't pay much attention to him after the injury. He nearly passed out. His shirt was completely drenched with blood," she added.
