For NPP's sake, I forgive - Paul Afoko

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman aspirant Paul Afoko says he has forgiven party members who wronged him in the past, insisting that personal grievances must not stand in the way of rebuilding the party.

Speaking on Owia TV, Afoko said although he was deeply hurt by events that led to his suspension from the party, he has chosen to leave the past behind.

“Yes, the party indeed hurt me, but it was a group of party members who hurt me. I have forgiven them and given everything to God. Everything that happened is in the past,” he said.

According to him, dwelling on past disagreements would only weaken the NPP’s chances of returning to power.

“I cannot sit idle and watch the party drown just because I have been hurt in the past,” he stated.

Afoko urged party members who feel neglected or offended to also forgive and work towards a common goal.

“Anyone with grievances towards the party should forgive and leave them in the past. Come and let’s build a bridge to the future,” he appealed.
